Rudy
In August of 2017 our Rudy was diagnosed with lymphoma at Canada West. He underwent a series of chemotherapy treatments and although he had some complications along the way, he made it to remission by Christmas 2017. Sadly though, the cancer returned and we had to say goodbye to him in March of 2018.
Through all the stress and trauma of his diagnosis, his treatments and the loss, the staff at Canada West were professional, caring and empathic and helped us to make the right decisions for our beloved Rudy. All of the staff we encountered showed us true kindness and understanding from his Oncologist Dr. Saam, the on-call Veterinarians he saw, the Health Technicians that looked after him and the receptionists.
We were fortunate enough to not have cost be a factor when considering the best course of treatment, but we know this is not always the case for many families. In memory of Rudy, we are donating to the Jesse and Bandit Fund and Canada West in order to help another family who may be faced with difficult decisions. We trust that the staff at Canada West will make the most appropriate decision in allocating these funds and hope that it brings joy to a family in need.
